Rotational Retorts

Certain products require an "agitating mode" during sterilization. This can be either rotational or through a "rocking action." The end-over-end rotation in Steristar rotary retorts can create turbulence in products being sterilized, resulting in the greatest rate of heat penetration. In some cases this can significantly reduce total process time. Actual process time is subject to viscosity of product, container head space, size and configuration of containers, etc. Steristar rotary retorts rely on a rigid rotor design that will accommodate large basket sizes. Four-point bearings on the rotor ensure durability and make possible a two-door retort design.
